WOODRUE – low on luck – VINYL LP (black)

Woodrue have been preaching their end-time message for quite a few years now, slowly but surely making their way to the top of the current Finnish sludge scene. After the split 12″ with Semtex, the band diminished into a trio, but this trimming of fat obviously made Woodrue even stronger since « Low on Luck » is undoubtedly the freshest pure sludge record from Finland since the first Fleshpress releases. You won't find happy-go-lucky stoner riffs through a few extra fuzz pedals here, this beast is far more filthy. There's a familiar groove if you share Woodrue's love for the pioneers of the sound such as Cavity, Buzzov*en, -(16)- or Grief, but as tempting as stuffing your pockets with other people's property often seems, Woodrue have decided to write their own material and after experiencing the weight of the riffage on « Low on Luck », you won't miss all those second rate riff thieves. Black vinyl in full colour sleeve. Limited edition of 300 copies.
