BLUT AUS NORD – disharmonium – nahab – VINYL LP (grey marbled)

« Nahab » – the second part of the Disharmonium cycle – finds BLUT AUS NORD returning, as if by compulsion, to the Weird nightmarish otherworlds of H.P. Lovecraft to reflect them through a new mirror of terrifying Black Metal lunacy.

Descending into abyssal terrain akin to the twin dark chambers of 2022’s first instalment « Disharmonium – Undreamable Abysses » and companion-piece-of-sorts compilation « Lovecraftian Echoes », this latest emanation is similarly womb-like, detail-rich, disturbed and transformative.

Musically influenced only by the band’s own extensive oeuvre, in comparison with BAN’s recent Lovecraftian explorations « Nahab » has an increased presence of deranged vocal mania, the eerie dynamics are more fully realised, the band’s unmistakeable melodic power amplified, the guitars – lower slung for extra resonance – flow in tandem with splendidly lurching grooves like some Stygian wooze-tsunami.
