HIGHGATE – shrines to the warhead – VINYL LP (black)

Highgate, a Kentucky trio of escaped mental patients play nasty sludge in the vein of Burning Witch, Toadliquor, Grief, Noothgrush, Winter, Wreck of the Hesperus and Corrupted.

Their music drones severely at times, but there is always an emphasis on riffs and industrialized, hard hitting beats, suicidal, slow doom depression riffs ; sometimes the pace picks up a bit and Highgate actually starts to bring down a little lightning bolt of gooey, filth stricken groove, this band actually likes to play music instead of staring off at their amplifiers and playing a note every 10 minutes.
