VAN WISSEM, JOZEF – this is my blood – VINYL LP (red)

« Jozef Van Wissem’s new album This Is My Blood opens and closes on scorched, hallucinatory lute reveries, music that seems to shimmer in the heat of abandoned horizons rather than unfold in time.
According to the press release, born from improvisations for Maquina, a desert-shot psych-film, these pieces stretch toward a renewed patience for duration, where repetition becomes ritual and listening turns devotional. Darkness here is not theatrical but intimate, a slow circling around grief, erosion, and the quiet violence of memory, briefly punctured by the lone vocal incantation “Remission.”
