SLOTHS – knives

SLOTHS are from Portland, OR and they play this insanely unique blend of dark psychedelic post punk esque hardcore, literally brimming with energy. It’s impossible to place it into a genre, simply put, it’s just good music. The guitar work transitions seamlessly from gritty and aggressive to trippy psyched out fracturing leads, ultimately landing into a chaotically sharp dissonance. Pummeling bass lines match the utterly spastic and intriguing drum beats perfectly. The rhythm section seems to always be right on point in laying down the perfect foundation no matter which end of the spectrum things are at. These guys are seriously just good. I can’t even accurately describe it, you’ll just have to give it a listen.
